Why did you decide to take part in the workshops?
As the organisation began to expand, more of my time was being spent on financial record-keeping and reporting and I wanted to be 100 per cent sure I was getting things right.


What did you aim to get out of the sessions?
Understandably, our funders need to justify the money they are investigating in our organisation, so providing them with the correct evidence is critical. I wanted some expert knowledge on how best to do this, as well as how to support the business financially as it grows.


What did you enjoy most about attending?
The course covered lots of information in an interesting and engaging way, which is important when dealing with a subject which can be dry.


How have you used what you learnt within your business?
The course has taught me how to report our finances in a more visual and engaging way using graphs and tracking reports. I’ve also learnt how to put certain financial checks in place, which will be essential as the organisation grows.


What benefits have the sessions brought to your business?
Now I have been given the tools to track and report our finances accurately and efficiently, I feel much more confident that we have the financial foundations in place for the company to expand.


Would you recommend the sessions to other businesses?
Definitely, especially those undergoing expansion – I feel I’ve got a solid grounding in finance now which means I can tackle anything that’s thrown my way.
